The National Sporting Library and Museum and the Artists in Middleburg (AiM) invite you, including those who live a distance, to experience equine sculpting for an intensive week-long workshop with expert sculptor and instructor, Goksin Carey see link above. The workshop will be held at the National Sporting Library and Museum in the beautiful town of Middleburg, VA, the “Nation’s Horse and Hunt Capital.” It is conveniently located to Washington DC and Dulles International Airport.
Workshop Information
The workshop is open to all levels of experience – from beginner to professional. Everyone is welcome – no previous experience in sculpture is necessary. Students of all levels work together at their own pace and receive individualized instruction. Beginning students will work on the horse bust and continuing will work on the full horse, or possibly another animal with approval from the instructor. The workshop is small, 10 students, so you will receive extensive, individual feedback and hands-on instruction.
Cost
Workshop fee: $500
Workshop fee includes one-year free membership to the Museum and to AiM, Middleburg, VA
*A $200 non-refundable deposit is required at time of registration. A balance of $300 can be paid on the first day of the class.
Plus supplies: $140 (will be paid at the first day of the class).
*Includes plastalina clay and armature for a horse bust and a full horse.
