Fine Art Photography Lecture

with David Gardner

Photography has often been considered outside the world of fine art. Contest prospecti frequently explain that they accept “both art and photography,” while a well-known local art show will not accept photography. Philosopher Ayn Rand held a straight-forward opinion that “Photography cannot be art.”

There is indeed such a thing as fine art photography, but the majority of both photographers and collectors do not understand the conditions under which photography is considered fine art.

David will talk about the specifications which must be met by a photograph to be considered collectible and/or fine art. His photographs will also be on view and available for purchase.
