Explorations in Watercolor Workshop
with Lorrie Herman

Interested in getting your brushes wet with a little watercolor? Come and learn the fundamentals of watercolor with Lorrie Herman, a professional artist and Signature Member of the Virginia Watercolor Society. She will introduce you to the basics of watercolors by demo painting, explaining watercolor techniques and work on painting exercises to help you understand the beauty of watercolor. Her aim is to instill in her students the importance of reviewing and retaining strong foundational skills using this beautiful medium.

Student's Support Local School Art Programs with Maker's Mart

To celebrate Youth Art Month, we're thrilled to present our annual student exhibit with a twist: a Student Maker's Mart highlighting the creative endeavors of local school students! Join us for this collaborative effort involving six local schools, showcasing an array of artistic expressions including jewelry, pottery, photography, and more. Every piece is available for purchase, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting the invaluable art programs within our schools.

Learn the Basics of Gouache

In this three-hour workshop, instructor Kim T. Richards will provide a thorough introduction to gouache. Participants will work from a still life setup in the classroom, exploring the capabilities of this medium. Come and join artist and speaker, Matthew Pavone, at The Artists in Middleburg gallery for a special summer program and pop-up exhibit on July 4th. During this special offering, Matthew will discuss with attendees the various insights from his personal study of the American flag and share how artists like Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, and Shepard Fairey influence his own work. Matthew will be around the gallery and available for questions throughout the day. He will have several original pieces from his flag series available for purchase during the pop-up exhibit.

AiM's Holiday Open House and Fundraiser

The gallery will be open from 12:00 - 5:00 pm
You are invited to AiM's Holiday Open House & Fundraiser. This special event includes our current exhibit, our holiday shoppe and small paintings donated by our artists. Each painting is $75 and the proceeds will go towards helping AiM in their efforts to support local art education for all ages.
