My goal was to show the various layers of the plant from the top down.  Stanley, Melanie-For the Love of SunflowersThis is a mixed media piece that was inspired by the joy I derive from sunflowers. I first sketched the painting out with fluid acrylic paints, and then I added more layers of paint as I proceeded.
