 This is a "move and look" piece. The abstract flower is overlaid with pieces of glass from various and sundry bottles of spirits. My work is influenced by the Symbolists and Impressionists painters, and the several visits to Scandinavia in my past.  Lavender Skies is a plein air piece painted along the Potomac River. Lavender clouds were moving rapidly across the river, with the lavender clouds warming on the horizon.
