Best in Show This kitty three-pack is enjoying a leisurely day in the sun. What lies ahead for the rest of their purrfect day? Snacks, baths, and lots of naps! This painting gave me the opportunity to play with shapes and color in new and bold ways, which I hope to incorporate into my work going forward. Kitty Kitty Kitty Oil 13x13 $425 Tamara Lewis | Second Place Many of my flower paintings feature three vases- the original one represented my two sisters and myself. I grew to like the triangle scaffolding they would create in the composition, an unseen geometry beneath the natural cacophony of the blossoms. Daffodils and Forsythia Oil on Canvas 30 x 40 $2300 Marci Nadler | Third Place To me, dolphins in waves are very relaxing to sculpt. I find I tend to sculpt them in groups of three. There is a natural balance in the number three that gives security and stability, yet also freedom, to stretch, play and change in infinite ways. TriPod Alabaster 8 x 8 x 4 $695 Kristyne Torruella |
