 Olive tree branches I find to be an interesting subject matter as they twist and bend. I see beauty in the curves as the branches spiral upwards.  Watercolor Batik is much like batik on fabric in that wax is used as a resist. The rice paper becomes very delicate when water is added to the surface. Much care is taken to keep the paper stable and the colors in their place.
